Current funding
WSOI Institute is currently independently self-funded. It does not accept payment from political parties, candidates or campaigns, and no outside sponsor may purchase a conclusion or suppress a material finding.
Research independence
- Evidence standards do not change according to the political consequences of a finding.
- Sources of future project-specific financial support will be disclosed on the relevant publication.
- Any funder or collaborator with a material interest in the subject will be identified.
- Outside review may improve accuracy, but reviewers do not receive authority to rewrite conclusions.
- WSOI will decline support that requires undisclosed influence, predetermined findings or restrictions on correcting the record.
No implied legal status
The word “Institute” describes the project’s research mission. WSOI does not represent itself as a charity, tax-exempt organization, university center or government body.
