Politics

Research on institutional design, public administration, democratic accountability and measurable policy outcomes.

WSOI studies politics through institutions, incentives and measurable administrative outcomes. The objective is not to narrate partisan competition; it is to understand whether public systems can make, implement and revise consequential decisions.

Current questions

  • Which divisions of federal, state and local authority improve delivery—and which create avoidable veto points?
  • How can public procurement preserve accountability when government relies on private technical systems?
  • What forms of transparency help citizens evaluate outcomes instead of slogans?
